Dr. Arjuna Veeravagu is a naturopathic physician and registered acupuncturist who is in his 23rd year of clinical practice. Originally from New York he studied genetics and pre-med at Tufts University in Boston before becoming a nutritional genetics researcher at the University of California at Berkeley.
While at Berkeley Dr. Arjuna experienced a serious illness that sparked his interest in natural medicine, which he had turned to for successful treatment and healing. He went on to study Naturopathic Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland. He opened his own clinic in the Yaletown district of downtown Vancouver in 2002 where he still practices part-time.
Dr. Veeravagu’s practice combines botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, nutrigenomics, acupuncture, fitness consulting and lifestyle counselling to address the root causes of illness and disease. Dr. Veeravagu has lived in Whistler full-time since 2018 along with his wife Diane and their kombucha brewery Whistler Elixir. Away from the clinic his personal interests include soccer, tennis, snowboarding, drumming, yoga, meditation and Jungian psychology. He is currently accepting new patients.
